On May 29, 2026, Kyushu University and Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. were selected as contractors for the “NEDO Leading Research Program / Frontier Development Program” publicly solicited by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
The selected project builds upon the findings and analyses accumulated through the FY2025 NEDO Frontier Development Program project entitled “Research and Development on Natural Hydrogen Resource Development in the Kyushu Region.” Over the next three years, the project will advance research and development aimed at addressing key technical challenges to accelerate and realise a hydrogen-based society.
